THE CSAT PRACTICE DESK · 2017–2026

Ten years.
A clearer way to prepare.

Work through the actual UPSC Civil Services Prelims Paper II, one year at a time. Original passages, questions and diagrams — preserved in the official booklets.

Genuine papers. Clear boundaries.

These are ten different official examination booklets, not mocks relabelled by year. UPSC Point is an independent preparation platform. The practice links open the exact booklet copies used for our solutions in a public third-party archive; official UPSC source links remain available. Large PDFs may take time to load. Practice is free and login-free. Email is optional and used only when you request a result report.

Our reasoning. Your next step.

Practise with UPSC Point independently prepared answer keys and worked explanations. These are educational practice solutions, not official UPSC answer keys or certified examination results.

How your practice score works

Each available key identifies the exact booklet series and source copy solved. Use the matching booklet linked inside the practice desk. Other series cannot be graded with that key.

Correct: +2.5 · Incorrect: −5/6 · Unanswered: 0. Any question flagged as ambiguous is excluded from scoring and reduces the available maximum; we show the excluded count rather than silently award or deduct marks. A partial score cannot establish qualification.

Worked solutions may differ from an official key. Send a correction with the year, booklet series, question number and your reasoning through support.

Continue from a saved backup.

Choose a UPSC Point attempt backup (.json). It contains your answers, year, booklet series and original timer deadline. Importing replaces only that year’s saved attempt after confirmation. No file is uploaded.

PREPARE WITH THE RIGHT SCOPE

What CSAT assesses.

Follow the official Paper II syllabus. Historical papers show the questions actually asked in that year; they do not guarantee future topic weights.

Use each attempt well.

Attempt: Reserve two uninterrupted hours, use rough paper and avoid a calculator. Choose one option or leave a question unanswered.

Review: Match the year and booklet series before consulting any key. Separate conceptual errors, calculation slips and time-management issues.

Marking: Paper II carries 200 marks and a 33% qualifying requirement. With 80 equally weighted questions, a correct response earns 2.5 marks; an incorrect response loses one-third of that, 5/6 mark. Unanswered questions attract no penalty. This desk does not certify an official result.
